The ‘Jump for the Children’ Horse Show, commonly referred to as the Duke Show, is the largest Hunter/Jumper show in North Carolina and a favorite among competitors and spectators alike.  Across 6 days, this USEF ‘AA’ rated show attracts over 600 horses shown by professional and amateur riders.  The ‘Jump for the Children’ Horse Show benefits Duke Children’s Hospital and has raised over $1.6 million since the show’s beginning in 1984.  It is the longest, continuously-held, annual fundraiser for Duke Children’s Hospital.

Everyone tDSC_5238hat comes to the show enjoys the events, wonderful vendors, and the Duke Children’s Silent Auction.  Show highlights include the $10,000 Welcome Jumper Stake, sponsored by Dover Saddlery, the $10,000 United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) International Hunter Derby, sponsored by Dr. Betsee Parker and Huntland, and the $30,000 Duke Children’s Hospital Grand Prix.  Duke Children’s Hospital Grand Prix winners include U. S. Show Jumping Olympic and/or International team members Laura Kraut, Peter Wylde, Lisa Jacquin, Marilyn Little, Kent Farrington, Meagan Nusz and Joe Fargis.

This spring the ‘Jump for the Children’ Horse Show earned the prestigious Heritage Competition designation from the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF).  The USEF is the National Governing Body for Equestrian Sport.  The Heritage designation is reserved Printfor competitions that have been established for a long period of time and have made substantial contributions toward the development and promotion of the sport, both within the broader community, by achieving, maintaining and promoting the equestrian ideals of the sportsmanship and competition.  Only 17 other horse shows nationwide have been awarded this honor.

Triangle Farms is proud to host a horse show that helps make a difference in the lives of the children at Duke Children’s Hospital.  Thank you for your continued support of ‘Jump for the Children’ and Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center.

We truly know that ‘Jump for the Children’ is not just another horse show, but a horse show that makes a difference…because nothing matters more!
