We are looking forward to another great year of the Duke show! “Jump for the Children”, benefiting Duke Children’s Hospital for the 27th year, will be held November 8-13, 2011, at the Governor James B. Hunt Horse Complex in Raleigh, NC. As one of the premier hunter/jumper shows in the southeast with over $1,250,000 contributed to Duke Children’s Hospital since the show’s beginning in 1984, the show will again feature AA Hunters and the $30,000 Duke Children’s Grand Prix. Our 2011 Duke show is dedicated to Catherine Midyette who served as Co-Chairman for 15 years and truly believed in the benefit of Duke Children’s Hospital. Catherine passed away in April but will be remembered by all of us at the show. A perpetual trophy in her memory, “Champion of the Children”, will be awarded at the show this year. Catherine loved the sport of great hunters and jumpers and believed in lots of fun and hospitality throughout the show week. We will continue Catherine’s mission at the 2011 Duke show!
We thank you for your support in the past and ask for your consideration again for the 2011 “Jump for the Children” show. We have sponsorship opportunities that include all levels of giving. Our goal is to have your involvement in this wonderful benefit for children. All sponsors are invited to the Grand Prix Sponsor Party on Saturday evening preceding the $30,000 Duke Children’s Grand Prix and are recognized in the prize list and in announcements during the show. Banner boards in the Main Arena recognize sponsors who contribute $300 or more to the hospital. Your sponsor check is written directly to Duke Children’s Hospital and will benefit children’s programs and research at the hospital.
Advertising opportunities are available in the “Jump for the Children” prize list and on banners in the show arena. The prize list will be mailed to exhibitors and businesses in North Carolina and throughout the country. Advertisers are recognized by the announcers at the show and are invited to the Grand Prix Sponsor Party. As in the past there are vendor opportunities in the Main Arena and in designated outdoor areas. The Duke Show has many opportunities for your involvement, and we need your help. And, as in past years, a highlight of the show and a benefit to Duke Children’s Hospital will again be the Duke Children’s Silent Auction. Contributions to the Silent Auction are welcome as are contributions of your time.
